How Now, 2020 Foul

How much chaos can we pack in to one year? A lot, it appears! But the better question to ask is, “How can God us this to further His kingdom?” If all of this has hit you particularly hard and it’s hard to see light at the end of the dark tunnel remember, all you need is faith the size of a mustard seed…faith that He is who He says He is. No matter how bad things get, we can find the faith to believe He is who He says He is!

How should we respond to the unrest and turmoil economically, politically, and socially? By remembering what He says…because “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in Heaven.”(Psalm 119:89)

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

When I am afraid, I put my trust in You. (Psalm 56:3)

The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
(Zephaniah 3:17)

  3. Totally agree with what you wrote. Also trying to figure out what God wants us to do during this time. Obviously pray and have faith but is there anything else?? Truly need to keep praying for our country. I feel like all the churches should reopen and we need nightly prayer meetings all across America for the upcoming election.

  4. I’ve been thinking about Ephesians 6:12 a lot lately. There is a lot of finger pointing in America right now, but “the enemy” is not the Republicans, or the Democrats, the WHO, the Police, the Chinese, or one of many others the collective voice wants to blame right now. No, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but evil itself.

  5. Thank you for this encouraging post and for sharing God’s word to support it. As we wait for the results of a medical test determining whether or not my husband will have minor or major surgery, I find my worry surfacing where it hadn’t until today. And today, I discovered your post in my email. God works in all things. This verse is now on a sticky note at the bottom of my computer screen, where I will see it all day, until our scheduled conference call with the doctor. Thank you, Lord, for using Margaret to deliver your message. Thank you, Margaret, for your obedience.

  6. You inspired this, a thought on Ps53:6. I hope you like it.

    I am now so darn afraid,
    and don’t know just what to do;
    but my sin-bill has been paid,
    and I trust in You.
    The cancer’s gonna kill me;
    this week has made that clear.
    But you have bought my victory,
    and I know that you hold dear
    the heart that beats within my chest,
    the soul that can’t go on,
    that has tried to be the best,
    and so failed, all along,
    but Lord, You now shield me from harm
    in Your mighty tattoo’ed arms.

    Does God have tats? Well, why not?
